Michele’s Story
I thought Perimenopause was something that happened to other women. After all, I was a Nutritional Therapy student eating well and exercising.
My thought was why was I having these symptoms? I didn’t understand and my GP only offered antidepressants.
I soldiered on and got used to living with my symptoms until a few years later and my menopause started with a vengeance. Hot flushes, poor sleep, loss of confidence, forgetfulness and low mood were all heavily present. I didn’t know what hit me. Only then did I realise that these were all menopausal symptoms and started to take back control.
Now I’m a Menopause Development Manager and I help women understand and embrace their menopausal journey so they can navigate symptoms, reclaim their lives, get their confidence back and thrive again.
